19 Days

I'm counting it down.
Are you?
For me, it's a little here and a little there. I enjoy the building in to the decorations and I like to see everyone's expressions as they come home from school or work.
It's makes every day a little more special for me.
Today, I've put together a little winter arrangement made from
an old pickle jar, a bed spring,  and a old Pepsi bottle.

Who out there remembers
when PEPSI came in a bottle like this?

Now that will tell your age....

I wanted a wooden tray to display my arrangement in
but
with Christmas just around the corner
I'm not thinking to spend money on
that right now
so here goes..
Strawberry flat & some spray paint,
I hope this comes out like I'm hoping.

Do you need some snow?
A bar of Ivory Soap & a grater
You've got it!
I think I like it. I also think it needs some more greenery.
That tends to be my fix for a lot of things.

You know I needed more wreathes.
One for the mirror

One above the kitchen counter.
It doesn't show as well in the picture
but
I've used more
chicken wire & chippy bulbs.

That's it for today.
I'm ready for another cup of coffee.
Thanks for stopping by.
BE BLESSED!

  1. Oh I LOVE this. so simple, yet it really makes a statement. I like to do little touches like this around the house too. Is that paint in the Pepsi bottle? it looks really cool.

    1. The Pepsi bottle is just spray painted on the outside. It ran some and I thought it looked a little more tree like. I have no artistic ability but I am a spray paint queen..lol.

  2. Stopping by from yumeating.com (non blogger blog ;) ) and wanted to thank you for stopping by. Love what you are doing here. I really like these simple, yet so bold statement pieces.

Gotta love spray paint, right? So cheap, but you can do so much with it. I love taking things from garage sales and thrift shops and transforming them into something great.

    1. Chrystal, I'm so glad you stopped by for a visit. Sometimes I just get a notion to create something, sometimes it turns out good and sometimes I look back and say...humm..but it's always fun just the same.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas!
